Heritage Tomato &amp; Burrata (Vegetarian): A fresh and vibrant start featuring sun-ripened heritage tomatoes and a center of creamy Burrata cheese, finished with aged balsamic and a hint of fresh mint. Scottish Smoked Salmon: World-renowned Atlantic salmon served with cool dill cucumber, horseradish crème fraîche, and traditional rustic soda bread. Beef Carpaccio "Bresaola": Delicate, thinly sliced air-dried beef seasoned with truffle-infused mayonnaise, sharp parmesan crisps, and a hint of pickled mustard.

The Main Course

Fillet of Beef Wellington: The crown jewel of British cuisine. Tender beef fillet wrapped in a golden, flaky puff pastry, served with rich truffle-infused mashed potatoes, baby carrots, and a red wine reduction. Cornfed Chicken Breast: A sophisticated crowd-pleaser. Roasted chicken breast paired with buttery Dauphinoise gratin (creamy scalloped potatoes), fresh green beans, and a savory red wine jus. Wild Mushroom Pithivier (Vegan): A hearty and elegant vegetarian option. A domed savory pastry "pie" filled with earthy wild mushrooms, served with glazed carrots and tender hispi cabbage.

Must-See Landmarks The Royal Observatory &amp; Prime Meridian: Stand with one foot in the Eastern Hemisphere and one in the Western. It’s a bit of a hike up the hill in Greenwich Park, but the panoramic view of the London skyline is the best in the city. The Painted Hall: Located at the Old Royal Naval College, this is often called "Britain's Sistine Chapel." It is a breathtaking Baroque masterpiece just a 5-minute walk from the venue. Cutty Sark: Step aboard the world’s last surviving tea clipper. You can explore the decks of this 19th-century ship or even have afternoon tea right underneath its golden hull. National Maritime Museum: The largest of its kind in the world. Best of all? Entry is free. Don't miss the uniform Admiral Nelson was wearing at the Battle of Trafalgar (complete with the bullet hole). Local Bites &amp; Brews Greenwich Market: A vibrant hub for street food, antiques, and local crafts. It’s open every day, but the food stalls really shine on the weekend. Goddard’s at Greenwich: For a truly authentic London experience, try traditional Pie and Mash with "liquor" (parsley sauce). They’ve been serving locals since 1890. Grind Greenwich: A great spot for a morning coffee or a cheeky espresso martini. It has a beautiful conservatory-style interior. The Gipsy Moth: A classic pub with a great beer garden right next to the Cutty Sark—perfect for a pre-wedding pint. Unique Greenwich Experiences Greenwich Foot Tunnel: Walk underneath the River Thames to the Isle of Dogs. It’s a quirky, tiled Victorian tunnel that offers a cool perspective of the river. IFS Cloud Cable Car: For a "flight" over the Thames, take the DLR to Royal Victoria or walk to the Peninsula. It offers incredible views of the O2 Arena and Canary Wharf. The Time Ball: Head to the Royal Observatory at 1:00 PM sharp. Watch the red ball on top of Flamsteed House drop—a tradition used by sailors for 190 years to navigate the seas.

Passports & Entry Requirements

Because we are traveling internationally, there are a few extra steps you’ll need to take before heading to the airport. 1. Your PassportValidity: Your U.S. passport must be valid for the entire duration of your stay in the UK. Pro-Tip: While the UK only requires validity for your stay, many neighboring European countries (if you plan to hop over to France or Italy) require your passport to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your departure date. We recommend checking your expiration date now! 2. Mandatory: UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA)Starting in early 2026, all U.S. citizens (including children and infants) must have an ETA before boarding a flight to the UK. What is it? A digital permission to travel. It is linked electronically to your passport.Cost: £16 (approx. $21 USD) per person. How to Apply: The easiest way is via the "UK ETA" app (available on the App Store or Google Play) or the <a href="https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">official GOV.UK website</a>. Timing: Most applications are approved within minutes, but the UK Home Office recommends applying at least 3 working days before you fly. Validity: Once approved, your ETA is valid for 2 years (or until your passport expires) and allows for multiple entries. ⚠️ Important: If you do not have an approved ETA, the airline will not allow you to board your flight. Getting to London

There are several ways to reach the city. We recommend booking flights into one of the following:London Heathrow (LHR): The largest hub with the most international connections. From here, you can take the Elizabeth Line or the Heathrow Express into Central London. Where to StayWe have arranged a base for the festivities in the heart of Greenwich: Primary Hotel: <a href="https://www.google.com/search?q=https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/longndi-doubletree-london-greenwich/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">DoubleTree by Hilton London Greenwich</a>Note: This hotel is conveniently located and a great spot to connect with other guests. Other Options: Greenwich has several boutique hotels and charming Airbnbs. We recommend staying within the SE10 postcode to remain within walking distance or a short cab ride of the venue. Local Tips &amp; Essentials Currency: The UK uses the British Pound (£). Most places in London are now contactless-only. You can pay for almost everything (including buses and trains) using a contactless credit card or phone (Apple/Google Pay). Weather: September in London is generally mild and pleasant, but "four seasons in one day" is a real thing! We recommend bringing a light jacket and a small umbrella. Power Adapters: The UK uses Type G plugs (three rectangular pins). Don't forget an adapter for your electronics! Cell Service: Consider getting an eSIM (like Airalo or Holafly) or checking your provider's international roaming rates before you arrive.

Getting to the Venue: The Trafalgar Tavern

The Trafalgar Tavern is located at Park Row, Greenwich, London SE10 9NW. There are some iconic ways to get there: By River (Highly Recommended!): Take the Uber Boat by Thames Clippers to Greenwich Pier. It’s a beautiful way to see London's landmarks (like the Tower of London and Tower Bridge) on your way to the ceremony. The pier is just a 5-minute walk from the venue. By Rail: The Cutty Sark DLR station and Greenwich Mainline station are both a 10-15 minute walk away. By Car: Please note that parking in Greenwich is very limited. We recommend using "Black Cabs" or apps like Uber and Bolt if you aren't using public transport.
